Work allocation

  1. Acceptance of the employees (Group ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’), who are rendered surplus in the Ministries/Departments /Offices of Government of India, on the Surplus Staff Rolls.
  2. Redeployment of the Group ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ surplus staff against the vacancies to be filled by direct recruitment in Central Civil Services and Posts in the various Ministries/Departments /Offices of the Government of India, other than the services/posts to which recruitment is made through a competitive examination held by the Union Public Service Commission.
  3. Readjustment of provisionally redeployed surplus staff (Group ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’)
  4. Issue of clarifications and advice based on the provisions of rules/orders/instructions in respect of redeployment/readjustment of surplus staff.
  5. All references relating to leave encashment, due and drawn statement, missing GPF credits, recovery of excess payment, sanction of pension, DCRG/terminal gratuity and commutation of pension etc. in respect of surplus staff prior to 1.7.1986.
  6. Retention of vacancies for filling up by redeployment of surplus staff. Issue of No Objection Certificate for filling up the vacant posts if no suitable surplus staff is available on the Surplus Staff Roll.
  7. Matters relating to Parliament, Right to Information Act and Court cases in respect of issues pertaining to redeployment/readjustment of surplus staff.
