Nature of queries/clarifications

Normally the issues that are brought up by the users, etc. are of the following nature:-

1. The clarifications/queries (consequent upon declaration and regularisation of Canteen employees as Central Government employees) relating to service matters such as appointment on temporary/regular basis; removal from probation; pension; gratuity; EPF/GPF contributions; CGEGIS; eligibility to appear in departmental examinations implementation of SIU recommendations.
2. Recognition of Associations of Canteen employees.
3. Reasonability of rates of eatable items sold in the Canteens and their quality control.

The clarifications/information in respect of above queries have been provided in this Department’s O.M. No.3/1/99-Dir(C) dated 31.3.99 and subsequent office Memoranda issued on various subjects.
